HI Everyone! Our names are Ryan and Tyler and we are part of the Kids for Kids Junior Committee. 

This winter we are hosting our 1st Annual Virtual Polar Plunge for a Cure benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and we are asking for your support to help fight childhood cancer! 

Here are the rules! 

1. Take a video of yourself doing your own version of a Polar Plunge as for you can get creative as you want!

Here are just a few suggestions:

- Jump in a body of water that is near you (Ocean, Lake, Outdoor Pool)

- Fill your bathtub up with ice water for a nice chilly ice bath

- Take a dive in the snow outside!

***Please note that all of these activities must be accompanied by an adult. 

2. Challenge THREE friends or family members to participate in a polar plunge. 

3. Post your video on your own social media, tag your friends, and hashtag #kfkpolarplunge. You can join our community of polar plungers by joining our Facebook Event Group Here: https://fb.me/e/1Wrc5mQYr

4. DONATE! Proceeds will go to the patients and families of St. Jude. You can donate directly to this page or you can click the "Create a Page" Button and start fundrasing yourself! 

The IMPACT of Your Donation...

$10 Provides a Meal for a St. Jude Family 

$25 Provides a No More Chemo Party (A party each patient has once they complete chemotherapy) 

$50 Provides Art Suppies - St. Jude patients are encouraged to express themselves through art activities at the hospital and in St. Jude residential facilities.

$100 Provides a Patient Red Wagon which is the preferred mode of travel through the halls of the hospital 

$250 Provides one Share of Chemotherapy which is crucial to a child's treatment through cancer

$500 Helps provide one platelet transfusion: During chemotherapy, the platelet count of patients can drop to dangerously low levels so platelet transfusions are essential for treatment.

$750 Helps cover the cost of five days of oxygen for a St. Jude patient. During treatment, St. Jude patients may need oxygen to help their bodies function properly and aid in healing.

$1,000 Help cover about two-thirds of the cost of one day of chemotherapy:

Reasons why are we supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital?

• Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped increase the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since we opened more than 50 years ago.

•  Research done at St. Jude have helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancers from 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to more than 80 percent today

• St. Jude treats children from all 50 states and around the world.

Thanks to supporters like you, and community fundraisers like this one, families never receive a bill from St. Jude - for treatment, travel, housing and food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
