TRAINING UPDATE: Unfortunately while training in Portugal, I have reaggravated two bulging discs in my neck. Sadly, I am not allowed to train at this time. I am determined to live this healthy lifestyle and complete the Spartan race on a future date. Please continue to support my efforts of raising funds for the Kids for Kids Foundation. The kids can always use our help. Stay tuned for updates and thank you for your support.
After thinking about it for awhile, I have decided to quit smoking and push myself beyond my normal "He Man" like strength! I have decided to participate in multiple endurance events and raise money for the Kids for Kids Foundation while training.
On the weekend of August 25th, I will be taking part in the Spartan Trifecta at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia. I will be participating in 3 endurance events called the Beast, Super and Sprint. I will be running many miles and will conquer obstacles along the way! This is going to be the craziest and hardest thing I have ever done in my life but it will be worth it. I will keep the kids and their families in my mind to get me through these months of training as well as on race days. I'm sure some of them wish they can do what I am doing instead of sitting in a hospital. What I am doing is a small thing but I hope the money I raise can help someone in need. Thank you in advance for your support.
The Kids for Kids Foundation is a community of friends, families, and colleagues raising money for organizations that support children and families struggling with medical challenges. What started with one family fundraiser to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has successfully led to raising over $10 million a decade later.
The Kids for Kids Foundation continuously works to raise funds by hosting numerous events.
The last event for the 2018 fundraising year is our 2nd Annual Kids for Kids Winter Ball benefitting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at the Oheka Castle in Huntington, NY on Thursday, November 15, 2018.
